Even though the album isn't supposed to come out in America until May 10, it has already leaked. So in my personal review i want to start by saying you cannot listen to this album just once. As i am a big fan of the whole group, OFWGKTA, i heard the album the first time and only two songs really stuck out to me and that is probably because i heard them live and it just brings me back to that energetic scene every time i hear the songs. But after my first listen i came to realize that this is nothing that i wanted at all. All of the songs have the same beat and its all monotone. Then after 2 listens later, i realized the content of the song is what is really important and Tyler, the Creator really delivers. He still has his dark and evil tone within each song and its great because he gets more creative with every listen. Compared to Bastard, i would have to say that Bastard is a better album but that's because when i first heard Bastard i was so moved by how unique it was. Now that i expect everything on Goblin i have to judge it by its content and not creativity even though it is still very creative. With a couple more listens though, i really think that the album will grow even more on me. I really hope that the real fans will still support buying the album. Also i can't wait for the other members to drop their new content as well. Mike G is supposed to be releasing a new tape. Even though he is really underrated at concerts because his songs don't really hype anyone up his flow is great. As for MellowHype, their new album is supposed to be coming soon as well. I am starting to believe that Hodgy Beats and Left Brain are becoming a better duo since they both evolve so greatly. At first Left Brains beats were so generic and horribly pieced together. Now they are so great i try to bump every one of his songs. Truly a head banger. Hodgy himself has even into a more creative lyricist using more techniques to portray messages. Hope you guys support the Odd Future group!
