Venice Beach

Yesterday i did something i always wanted to do. I finally got to play basketball on the legendary courts of Venice Beach. It has always been a dream of mine to play basketball on these courts since i have seen the movie White Men Cant Jump starring Woody Harrelson and Wesley Snipes. If you dont know the movie, its all based around the Los Angeles area. It is a dynamic duo that hustle people for money on the basketball courts and they first meet on the courts of Venice. It is such a great place to meet various characters and you get to play basketball on the beach! It is not literally on the beach but the beach is probably 50 feet away. They have bleachers so people can watch others playing basketball. I also made a shot and had some foreigners applaud for me after. That was a great feeling haha. Venice Beach is probably the best place in the world.
This is the exact court that i played on. you can see the ocean in the back and the bleachers i were talking about are not those ledges. the bleachers are real bleachers not shown in the picture

  4. Back when I was into basketball, this was kind of my goal.

Then Charles Barkley stopped playin', and I got bored with the antics of b-ball players that simply can't live up to the legend.

  5. Venice Beach is kind of gross. :( I see a lot of near naked old people walking on the boardwalk.
